Lixia Zhang

Lixia Zhang: Dr. Lixia Zhang received her Ph.D in computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1989. She joined the faculty of UCLA's Computer Science Department in 1995. Prior to that she was a member of the research staff at the Xerox Palo Alto Research Center, engaged in various Internet-related research projects including network traffic dynamics, support for integrated services, and reliable multicast protocols. Her recent work includes Adaptive Web Caching (AWC), support for differentiated services, Internet Distance Map Service (IDMAPs), extremely large-scale sensor networking, and fault tolerance in large-scale distributed systems.
