I cannot
login to CourseWeb. What is the problem?
When you login you have two authentication options, UCLA
or SEASnet.
UCLA Logon
The UCLA logon type of authentication uses a campus
authentication service called
ISIS. You can login using your Bruin Online account (BOL).
If you are having problems with your BOL account, please contact
consult@ucla.edu or call (310)825-7452
option 1.
SEASnet
You must have an active SEASnet account. If you are having
problems with your SEASnet account please read
http://www.seas.ucla.edu/seasnet/Docs/accounts.html.
If you're current with your payments, please call (310)
206-6864, or visit 2684 Boelter Hall.

Problem
with your or with applying for a UCLA Logon ID?
Resetting a Forgotten Password:
If you have a UCLA Logon ID, but have forgotten your password,
you need to reset your password using one of the following
methods:
-
Reset your password at
https://logon.ucla.edu/passreset.php if you have
established a Challenge/Response phrase previously.
-
Stop by the Bruin OnLine Help Desk located at Kerckhoff
Hall, Suite 124. You will need to bring a photo ID in order
to verify that the UCLA Logon ID belongs to you.
You may apply for an UCLA Logon ID at
https://logon.ucla.edu/activate.php
For Instructors:
If you had a Bruin OnLine (BOL) account and have recently been
reappointed OR if you don't have a Bruin OnLine account and are
newly appointed, you might not be able to reset your password or
apply for a new account because your University ID may not be
valid yet. Please do the following:
-
Call the BOL helpdesk at (310) 267-4357 option 2 to find out
the standing of your University ID and your eligibility.
-
If the BOL helpdesk reports that your University ID is invalid,
contact your departmental MSO,
http://courseweb.seas.ucla.edu/contact/mso.php.
-
If you must have access to CourseWeb before the problem with
your University ID is resolved, you may apply for a SEASnet
account at the SEASnet Helpdesk, 2684 Boelter Hall. You
will need to bring a photo ID AND a letter from your MSO.
You must circle STAFF on the application
form (not Faculty, which is for ladder faculty).

Why am I
getting an "Error Code 604010" message?
If you get the following ISIS error code:
/Error Code: 604010 /Error Message: Security Violation: ISIS is
unable to verify the authenticity of the ISIS ticket or the
supplied user IP address.
This a result of a security fix implemented, as described in
"Reinstate IP Address Checking". The error message occurs
if your IP address changes during an login session. Once your IP
address changes your login session will be expired and you will
need to login again.
The following are some causes of why your IP may change
and solutions:
-
Using an ISP that has dynamic proxies, such as AOL.
Solution: Do not use AOL's web browser. Use your
machine's IE or Netscape/Other browser.
- Using a wireless connection with changing IPs.
Solution: When using the campus wireless, you
should use the
Campus VPN.

How do I
change my email address listed on CourseWeb?
